Senior Industrial Hygiene/Project Manager

Location: Hybrid in New York, NY / Florham Park, NJ. Must be available for off-hours and extended shifts. Must possess valid driver’s license and pass physical exam for respirator use.

Annual Salary Range: $55 – $75 per hour

What you will do

• Lead complex field assignments including asbestos, lead, mold monitoring, and industrial hygiene exposure assessments like noise and chemical sampling.
• Serve as lead site technician and on-site liaison for large-scale projects, ensuring alignment with scope and regulations.
• Conduct site investigations, risk assessments, clearance inspections, and initial quality reviews of field data.
• Draft technical field reports, data summaries, and compliance documents.
• Mentor junior technicians on sampling, abatement, and regulations.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local EHS regulations; calibrate monitoring equipment.

Requirements

• 7+ years experience in asbestos, lead paint, mold, and industrial hygiene field monitoring/inspections.
• Advanced IH certifications: NYSDOL Asbestos Project Monitor/Air Sampling Technician (AHERA preferred), NYSDOL Mold Assessor, NJ/EPA/NY Lead Risk Assessor/Inspector, NYCDEP Asbestos Investigator.
• Expert knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NYCDEP, NYSDOL regulations.
• High School diploma (AS/BS in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or Safety preferred).
• Ability to write technical reports and mentor juniors.
• Valid driver’s license, pass physical/respirator clearance, drug test.

Nice to have

• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER.
• Additional accreditations like Asbestos Project Designer/Supervisor.
• Experience in health/safety oversight or construction safety.
• Pursuing CIH or CSP certification.
