What you will do

• Manage multi-skilled construction teams across studio, workshop, and lot, ensuring leadership, communication, and high performance.
• Interpret designers’ drawings, create schedules and budgets, forecast crewing, and report on spending to meet production deadlines.
• Lead construction methods compliant with legislation, building regulations, CDM 2015, and BBC H&S policies.
• Oversee contractors, liaise with authorities, manage planning, maintenance, materials, and workshop coordination.
• Collaborate with designers, props, schedulers, and scenic artists for achievable workflows and editorial support.
• Ensure H&S in activities like machine work or heights, maintain records, inspect sets, and manage trainees/apprentices.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in construction for TV, film, theatre, or creative industry.
• Complex project management and leadership of large, varied teams.
• Creative problem-solving in high-pressure environments with on-time set delivery.
• Budget, cash flow, and spending management experience.
• Excellent H&S knowledge, qualifications in risk management, RAMS, and CDM 2015 regulations.
• Right to work in the UK (eligibility checks required).

Nice to have

• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Building Surveying.
• NVQ or Level 3 Diplomas in Carpentry, Joinery, Plastering, or Decorating.
