What you will do

• Implement and oversee environmental programs, policies, and procedures across all project phases, ensuring compliance with UK legislation and Universal standards.
• Lead environmental coordination in design and construction, monitoring contractor performance through audits, inspections, and reporting.
• Enforce environmental expectations for contractors and supply chain, focusing on emissions, waste, chemicals, and water management.
• Support permitting activities, engage with regulators like Environment Agency and Natural England, and contribute to Environmental Impact Assessments.
• Conduct audits, track KPIs, manage incidents with root cause analysis, and report performance to leadership.
• Partner with teams and stakeholders to promote awareness and support transition to operations with ongoing compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Management, Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Working knowledge of UK environmental legislation, permitting, and compliance requirements.
• Understanding of environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001), risk assessments, and compliance frameworks.
