What you will do

• Deliver and implement the UDX Construction Safety Program on-site, managing contractor and supplier safety performance.
• Act as the primary interface between HSE, Project Teams, and Principal Contractors to ensure safe execution of activities.
• Review and challenge risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) and verify safe systems of work.
• Oversee high-risk activities, including lifting operations, working at height, temporary works, and confined space entry.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, safety walks, and lead incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Validate Health & Safety Files to ensure compliance with CDM requirements during project closeout and handover.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• Strong knowledge of UK construction safety legislation, including CDM, HASAWA, MHSWR, and the Building Safety Act 2022.
• Familiarity with CDM stakeholder responsibilities (Principal Contractor / Principal Designer).
• Proven understanding of contractor management and safe systems of work for high-risk construction activities.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite at the Bedford, UK location.
