What you will do

• Design and maintain financial data pipelines ingesting and reconciling data from payment, commerce, and accounting systems like Stripe, Shopify, NetSuite.
• Model end-to-end transaction lifecycles including payments, refunds, fees, taxes, chargebacks, and edge cases into auditable datasets.
• Build trusted financial datasets using complex SQL in Snowflake and dbt for reporting, reconciliations, and analysis.
• Develop Python integrations via REST APIs and event-driven workflows, handling schema changes and cross-system identifiers.
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies across systems to improve quality and monitoring.
• Define and communicate key financial metrics like revenue, COGS, margins to build stakeholder trust.

Requirements

• 6+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or similar with substantial SQL and Python experience.
• Strong SQL for building reliable datasets from messy data in Snowflake; dbt familiarity a plus.
• Python for production integrations, automation, APIs, and data reconciliation.
• Experience with payments/transaction data (e.g., Stripe models) and accounting principles (GL, revenue recognition).
• Systems integration via REST APIs, handling schema changes and identifiers.
• Auditability mindset for traceable, compliance-ready datasets; financial modeling literacy.
• High ownership, communication, and AI-enabled productivity.

• NetSuite familiarity.
