Application Engineer (Embedded)

TL;DR

Application Engineer (Embedded): Supporting internal teams and customers by developing technical demonstrations and validating middleware for high-performance embedded computing solutions with an accent on software-hardware integration. Location: Hybrid schedule based at the Woburn, MA site. Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or Department of Commerce.

What you will do

• Support marketing and sales teams by providing technical information and creating simple demonstrations.
• Set up and validate third-party software or middleware products.
• Act as a technical point of contact for customers to resolve software-related support queries.
• Explore and evaluate new technologies to enhance system capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions.

Requirements

• Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (recent graduates encouraged).
• Basic understanding of software used in embedded systems.
• Experience developing small software applications or demos through projects, coursework, or internships.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and comply with U.S. Government export control regulations.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.

Nice to have

• Programming experience in C or C++, particularly in embedded contexts.
• Foundational knowledge of Linux or real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Exposure to x86 architecture or general hardware concepts.
• Awareness of networking fundamentals.
• Interest in middleware technologies such as VMware, OpenVino, CUDA, or OpenDDS.
