What you will do

  • Develop and maintain Linux kernel components to support new hardware features and platform validation.
  • Design, implement, and debug Linux device drivers for hardware integration.
  • Troubleshoot complex system-level issues, including kernel crashes, performance bottlenecks, and stability concerns.
  • Support the release and validation activities for next-generation SoC products.
  • Perform low-level debugging across hardware/software interaction points.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to implement bug fixes and feature enhancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of professional software engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of recent experience in Linux kernel development and device driver programming.
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ development.
  • Deep understanding of operating system internals and hardware/software interaction.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid team environment in Hillsboro, OR.

Nice to have

  • Experience contributing to Linux open-source projects and upstreaming patches.
  • Prior experience with SoC, embedded systems, or firmware-adjacent environments.
  • Background in cloud infrastructure, data center hardware, or large-scale compute platforms.
  • Expertise in Linux kernel debugging, crash analysis, and performance tuning.
