What you will do

• Own end-to-end payment and billing experiences for patients and providers, mapping dependencies like insurance confirmation, claims, ERA ingestion, refunds, and payouts.
• Use AI tools like Claude to clarify problem spaces, analyze data, and form initial assumptions during planning.
• Prototype flows and information architecture with Claude Code, Cursor, and MagicPattern, defining patterns and behaviors while partnering with product and engineering for production decisions.
• Conduct customer research to validate solutions, supported by the research team for BAU projects.
• Contribute to the design system and culture by sharing AI practices, prompts, and patterns with the team.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the US (E-Verify participation)
• Experience designing complex, high-stakes billing and payment flows at the intersection of patients, providers, and insurance.
• Proficiency using AI tools (Claude, Cursor, MagicPatterns) as primary workflow for prototyping, iteration, and code involvement through launch.
• Systems thinking to navigate edge cases, timelines, and failure modes without exposing complexity to users.
• Ability to conduct research and talk directly to customers.
