TL;DR
Director, Mass Market Acquisition and Engagement (Digital Marketing): Lead mass marketing strategy to build and steward digital supporters base driving revenue, brand awareness, and influence for climate nonprofit. Location: Remote, with ability to work U.S. East Coast hours
Salary: $145,000 – $165,000

What you will do
- Develop and execute organization-wide mass-market acquisition and engagement strategy supporting mission, revenue, and audience growth.
- Lead multi-channel acquisition via email, social, search, display, paid media, and events to diversify supporter base.
- Optimize full marketing funnel from awareness to retention with KPIs, A/B testing, and analytics.
- Manage marketing firms, consultants, direct media buys, and fundraising campaigns like Earth Day and Giving Tuesday.
- Build engagement pathways including email sequences, landing pages, content personalization, and event integration.
- Collaborate with Development, Communications, and other teams for aligned strategies and cross-functional execution.
Requirements
- 10+ years in digital marketing, acquisition, or revenue growth, preferably in mission-driven organizations
- Proven full-funnel marketing strategies driving audience and revenue outcomes
- Experience with paid media (Google Ads, Meta, YouTube, LinkedIn), email lifecycle, CRM, segmentation, analytics
- Strategic analytical skills, digital channel expertise, strong communication and project management
- Passion for climate/energy mission and ability to communicate to diverse audiences
Nice to have
- Nonprofit or digital fundraising strategy experience
- Familiarity with advocacy, public policy, or climate/clean energy issues
- Proficiency with CRM/marketing tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, Iterable, Braze) and analytics (Google Analytics, BI)
