What you will do

• Lead, hire, and develop a high-performing team of Forward Deployed Software Engineers focused on engineering excellence and client delivery.
• Define and evolve AI-native engineering transformation approaches including Claude Code adoption, agentic tooling, and scalable operating models.
• Own technical and operational quality of engagements, reviewing SOWs and ensuring lasting client capability changes.
• Manage hands-on delivery, pairing with team on client codebases while engaging senior client leaders on strategy.
• Build playbooks, reference implementations, and patterns to scale the practice.
• Partner with Sales and Anthropic teams on engagements, pipeline, and expansion.

Requirements

• 10+ years in software engineering with 4+ years in senior leadership (CTO, VP Engineering, Head of Engineering).
• Lifetime software engineer with production code experience, architecture decisions, and team-building track record.
• Deep passion for AI transforming software engineering and experience with AI-native tools.
• Proven engineering transformation in enterprises, handling legacy systems, compliance, and multi-team coordination.
• Executive presence to engage CTOs/VPs and high agency in ambiguous environments.

Nice to have

• Former CTO/VP Engineering at scaling tech company.
• Client-facing engineering experience (forward deployed, consulting).
• Claude Code deployment, AI agent integration, or partner ecosystem work (Anthropic, Databricks).
• External presence in engineering leadership.
