Director of Engineering (C#/.NET, AWS, AI)

What you will do

• Lead high-performing, globally distributed engineering teams across the Identity & Fraud organisation.
• Translate strategic objectives into executable plans, measurable outcomes, and sustainable delivery practices.
• Embed AI, automation, and data-driven decision-making into software development and operational processes.
• Provide technical leadership across .NET, Java Full Stack, AWS, EKS, Claude, Cursor, and modern deployment practices.
• Lead technology modernisation, legacy simplification, platform adoption, and architecture improvements.
• Own workforce planning, talent strategy, budgets, vendor relationships, and senior stakeholder reporting.

Requirements

• Significant experience building, coaching, and developing global engineering teams.
• Proficiency in .NET, AWS, EKS, DevOps, Claude, Cursor, and engineering and deployment practices.
• Experience using AI tools and driving their adoption across engineering teams.
• Experience working in a secure development environment and aligning execution with governance, security, compliance, and enterprise risk standards.
• Strong stakeholder management, data-driven decision-making, strategic thinking, and delivery leadership skills.
• Experience with Java is highly desirable.
