What you will do

• Lead, hire, and develop a high-performing team of Forward Deployed AI Engineers, setting high standards for technical talent and delivery quality
• Own technical/operational excellence in engagements: review SOWs, shape architectures, ensure production-grade systems
• Build playbooks and patterns to scale one-off successes into long-term client relationships
• Manage hands-on delivery: strategic C-suite discussions to debugging with engineers
• Develop team expertise in Financial Services, Energy, Healthcare for client credibility
• Partner with Sales on pipeline, scoping, expansions; collaborate with Anthropic on joint engagements
• Provide mentorship, 1:1s, knowledge sharing to foster engineering excellence

Requirements

• 8+ years in technical roles, 3+ years leading engineering/delivery teams in forward deployed engineering, technical consulting, applied AI, or solutions architecture
• Production AI experience: agentic systems, multi-agent orchestration, advanced RAG, evaluation frameworks, scaled deployments in regulated enterprises
• Track record building teams from early stage: hiring, developing, retaining engineers
• Enterprise client experience: navigating org dynamics, procurement, compliance, stakeholders
• Executive presence for C-suite; translate technical concepts clearly
• Strong Python proficiency and production coding comfort
• Depth in at least one vertical: Financial Services, Energy, or Healthcare
• High agency, ambiguity tolerance; built from zero

Nice to have

• Former technical founder/CTO with product/team building under pressure
• MCP server development, tool integration, enterprise agent patterns
• Experience with Anthropic/AWS ecosystems at senior level
• External presence: writing/speaking in AI Engineering
• Palantir/Anthropic/DeepMind forward-deployed model experience
