TL;DR
Principal Full Stack Engineer (Agentic AI) (TypeScript/Python/AWS): Designing and leading Agentic AI platforms and applications, including RAG systems and agent workflows, with an accent on production-grade reliability, scalability, and maintainability. Focus on architecting LLM solutions, establishing GenAI engineering standards, and mentoring engineers across complex AI delivery and evaluation challenges.

What you will do
- Design and lead delivery of Agentic AI platforms and applications, including RAG systems and agent workflows.
- Develop solutions for internal and external customers across the Abcam business.
- Establish engineering practices for GenAI and LLM applications, covering system design, evaluation, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Guide architectural direction and mentor engineers across AI engineering initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business problems into technical solutions.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering capability in TypeScript, with backend and API development experience.
- Experience designing, deploying, and operating production-grade AI systems with a focus on reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Expertise in Agentic AI systems, including RAG, prompt engineering, LLM integration, MCP, agentic workflows, model evaluation, and fine-tuning.
- Cloud infrastructure expertise for deploying AI applications, preferably with AWS.
- Experience with CI/CD practices, orchestration, containerization, and testing.
- Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Python, monorepo technologies such as Nx or Lerna, Terraform, and multi-application deployment pipelines.
- Frontend experience with React, Angular, or Svelte.
- Multi-agent orchestration tools such as LangGraph, LangChain, or PocketFlow.
- Experience evaluating prompts, agents, and pipelines in multi-agent solutions.
- Experience with Neo4j or a similar knowledge graph database.
