Salary: $172,008–$296,000 plus performance-based bonus
What you will do
- Define and execute product vision, roadmap, and outcomes for NGS oncology diagnostics platforms aligned with clinical, technical, and regulatory needs.
- Lead cross-functional teams of bioinformatics scientists, engineers, and data specialists to build scalable, compliant products.
- Oversee algorithm development, pipeline optimization, cloud infrastructure integration, and analytical validation studies.
- Manage full product lifecycle including SDLC, releases, prioritization, and post-launch evaluation.
- Collaborate with regulatory, clinical, and medical teams on submissions, reimbursement, and study design.
- Incorporate AI/ML, multimodal biomarkers, and advanced analytics into product innovation.
Requirements
- 8+ years in bioinformatics product management in NGS diagnostics or oncology (solid tumor/hematologic cancers required)
- Advanced degree (MSc/PhD) in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or related field
- Proven leadership of software engineering and bioinformatics teams in regulated healthcare/life sciences
- Expertise in algorithm development, biostatistical validation, clinical-grade software delivery
- Success in regulatory submissions (CAP, CLIA, FDA, NYDoH, MolDx) and reimbursement product development
- Experience with cloud bioinformatics infrastructure and AI/ML analytics platforms
- Strong strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills
