Salary: $256,000 – $320,000

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional legal projects from intake to resolution, coordinating strategy across teams.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to provide real-time guidance on new features and GTM strategies.
• Manage regulatory change end-to-end, monitoring CFPB and state-level developments to assess business impact.
• Advise senior leadership on consumer regulatory risk, enforcement trends, and litigation exposure.
• Review and negotiate BD and partner agreements regarding consumer regulatory risk.
• Define and own the legal AI governance framework, including acceptable use standards and output review protocols.

Requirements

• 7+ years of legal experience in consumer financial services (fintech, banking, or regulatory agencies).
• Deep knowledge of CFPB rulemaking, Reg Z/TILA, UDAP/UDAAP, money transmission, and state licensing.
• Proven track record of influencing senior leadership and advising technical teams directly.
• JD from an accredited law school and active bar admission required.
• Ability to operate quickly and provide useful guidance with incomplete information.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex legal concepts in plain English.
