What you will do

• Identify high-impact opportunities and lead the execution of organization-wide technical efforts.
• Facilitate the long-term design of core systems and a best-in-class, API-first Enterprise Architecture.
• Contribute hands-on to areas with high business risk and break down complex projects into simple, maintainable systems.
• Establish architectural best practice standards and mentor Staff Engineers to raise the bar for quality.
• Inform "buy vs build" decisions to support the broader business strategy.
• Represent engineering teams in technical conversations with company leadership.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience as a software engineer, with 5+ years in leadership and 2+ years leading architecture projects.
• Proficiency in Ruby, Go, and Python.
• Deep understanding of cloud technologies, microservices design, and asynchronous queueing models.
• Experience designing and maintaining real-time and batch processing data pipelines at scale.
• Expertise in domain-driven design and leading cross-functional teams.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field (Bachelor's or Master's).
