What you will do

• Lead projects across the entire tech stack while mentoring others on best practices and quality standards.
• Develop new products and update existing offerings to enhance the platform's capabilities.
• Collaborate through pull requests and demos, identifying risks and blockers during the development process.
• Take full ownership of deliverables and support for systems and components from ideation to production.
• Align technical implementations with business goals by leveraging deep domain knowledge.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience planning and building production-level web applications using React and Ruby on Rails.
• Strong proficiency in data modeling, SQL, and query optimization for read/write performance and scalability.
• Fluency with Git, Unix/Linux environments, and automated testing tools.
• Must be based in the United States or Canada.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with or willingness to learn Java.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted and agentic workflows.
