Senior Adviser, Strategic Partnerships (Humanitarian)

What you will do

• Manage the strategic relationship with the Sida Humanitarian Unit and serve as the primary manager for the Sida Humanitarian Framework Agreement (HFA).
• Lead contract negotiations with the donor and coordinate the annual funding allocation process.
• Develop and implement a multi-year Donor Engagement Strategy for Sida on a global scale.
• Monitor the performance and expenditure of the HFA portfolio, providing support to country programs and technical units.
• Ensure the high-quality, compliant, and timely delivery of narrative and financial reports and audits.
• Represent IRC at donor meetings and conferences to position the organization as a key expert.

Requirements

• Experience working for Sida, the Swedish MFA, or in direct partnership with the Swedish government.
• Proven experience in driving coordinated advocacy, communications, and fundraising programs to secure funding.
• Strong understanding of programmatic and financial contractual arrangements and donor negotiation.
• Fluent in Swedish (mandatory requirement) and fluent in English.
• Legal right to work in Sweden.
• Experience working in developing countries, ideally with an international organization or NGO.

Nice to have

• Fluency in French or Spanish.
