What you will do

• Lead electrical design for water and wastewater projects.
• Provide technical guidance on client standards to engineering and technician staff.
• Serve as a technical expert in electrical power distribution and miscellaneous plant electrical systems.
• Support business development and build strong relationships with clients to understand their needs.
• Perform energy optimization, power system coordination, and arc flash hazard analysis.
• Coordinate with local electrical utilities and review supplier submittals.

Requirements

• Professional Engineer’s (PE) license in IL or another US jurisdiction.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum 11 years of related work experience in electrical design, planning, and construction services.
• Based in the Chicago Metropolitan area.
• Experience with medium and low voltage power distribution equipment, including VFDs and diesel generators.

Nice to have

• Experience in consulting specifically for the Water/Wastewater industry.
• Proficiency in power system analysis software such as SKM or ETAP.
• Proven experience in a client-facing or business development role.
