What you will do
- Lead electrical design for water and wastewater projects.
- Provide technical guidance on client standards to engineering and technician staff.
- Serve as a technical expert in electrical power distribution and miscellaneous plant electrical systems.
- Support business development and build strong relationships with clients to understand their needs.
- Perform energy optimization, power system coordination, and arc flash hazard analysis.
- Coordinate with local electrical utilities and review supplier submittals.
Requirements
- Professional Engineer’s (PE) license in IL or another US jurisdiction.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
- Minimum 11 years of related work experience in electrical design, planning, and construction services.
- Based in the Chicago Metropolitan area.
- Experience with medium and low voltage power distribution equipment, including VFDs and diesel generators.
Nice to have
- Experience in consulting specifically for the Water/Wastewater industry.
- Proficiency in power system analysis software such as SKM or ETAP.
- Proven experience in a client-facing or business development role.
