What you will do

• Lead and coach multiple engineering pods, managing other Managers and Principal Engineers while owning hiring for the organization.
• Partner with Product teams to create and execute multi-quarter roadmaps and ensure commitment delivery.
• Drive technology strategy and roadmaps that align with the wider organizational vision.
• Maintain operational excellence by running operations reviews, quality triaging, and incident debriefs.
• Calibrate performance assessments and establish formal career plans and goals for all engineers.
• Leverage and advocate for AI tools to automate routine tasks and refine prioritization and planning.

Requirements

• 10+ years of commercial software development experience.
• 5+ years of engineering management experience, including second-line management of other managers.
• Background in a product-focused company collaborating with stakeholders on product and technical initiatives.
• Experience with performance management, formal career planning, and team calibration.
• Strong technical background with the ability to deep-dive into designs and architectural tradeoffs.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools for planning, prioritization, and document creation.
