What you will do

• Implement and design features and services, including updating database schemas and applying appropriate design patterns.
• Write, test, and maintain high-quality code across TypeScript, Python, and Ruby codebases.
• Create detailed technical designs and lead design reviews with technical leads.
• Collaborate with product partners to grow and support the Docket Operations pillar.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers and assist new team members with onboarding.
• Integrate AI- and data-powered components into production systems following privacy guidelines.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada and legally authorized to work in the country
• 3+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on backend or full-stack development.
• Strong proficiency in backend languages such as Ruby or Python.
• Experience building user interfaces using TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, caching, and database optimization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Demonstrated use of AI tools to accelerate development.
• Exposure to design systems or shared component libraries.
• Experience with frontend performance optimization and debugging.
