Sr Software Developer

Location: Remote within the United States for residents of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, SC, NC, CA, or VA. Washington residents within a reasonable driving distance of Tukwila must work from the headquarters on Tuesdays and Wednesdays; other approved-location residents work remotely.

Salary: Target pay range of $141,800–$173,300 annually; full pay range of $110,100–$204,900 annually, plus performance-based incentives.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deliver scalable, resilient, secure services, prototypes, and production-ready features.
• Lead small to medium engineering workstreams through system design, implementation, testing, and delivery.
• Shape technical direction, architecture, roadmaps, coding standards, and long-term engineering practices.
• Improve system design, code quality, automation, observability, CI/CD, and operational efficiency.
• Mentor junior developers and SDETs through pairing, feedback, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Build and maintain data models, database scripts, migrations, analytics workflows, and solutions for large datasets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of experience designing software and writing production code in team environments.
• Expertise in one or more of .NET, C#, Node.js with modern JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, or Python.
• Experience with public cloud technologies, PowerShell or Bash automation, open-source technologies, SQL, data warehousing, ETL, and large datasets.
• Strong knowledge of secure development, static analysis, SOLID principles, object-oriented design, SOA, distributed systems, CI/CD, YAML pipelines, TDD, testing, and Git workflows.
• Must reside in WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, SC, NC, CA, or VA. Full-time hours are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud-hosted SQL and NoSQL data stores.
• Full-stack development across frontend, backend, APIs, and database systems.
• Experience with .NET, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, .NET Core, or Java Spring Boot.
• Experience with Angular, React Native, Flutter, Kotlin, or Android Java.
• Experience leading small project teams and breaking down solutions and tasks with business partners.
