What you will do

• Partner with a diverse portfolio of clients to assess data landscapes and design tailored governance strategies.
• Lead the creation and implementation of data standards, policies, and procedures aligned with business objectives.
• Facilitate workshops and interviews to define roles (data owners, stewards) and foster a data-driven culture.
• Establish governance councils, define success metrics, and create communication plans for program rollouts.
• Support the creation of metadata repositories and data lineage documentation to improve transparency.
• Assist in monitoring data quality and enforcing security, privacy policies, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA).

Requirements

• 12-15 years of experience in designing and implementing data governance frameworks and policies.
• Bilingual fluency in French and English.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Technical knowledge of cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Experience with data cataloging, metadata management, and data quality tools.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence senior-level stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Certifications: CIMP (Certified Information Management Professional), CDS (Certified Data Steward), or CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, or a related field.
