What you will do

• Administer Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server database environments across on-prem and cloud platforms.
• Implement backup and recovery strategies leveraging RMAN, pgBackRest, and AWS Backup.
• Optimize large-scale OLTP and OLAP workloads through SQL tuning and storage optimization.
• Manage AWS RDS and Aurora instances, utilizing CloudFormation and Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Architect and maintain HA/DR solutions including Data Guard, Oracle RAC, and multi-AZ replication.
• Automate repetitive DBA tasks using Python, Shell scripting, and PL/SQL.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a Senior Database Administrator.
• Deep expertise in Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (RDS, Aurora, Lambda, CloudFormation/Terraform).
• Proficiency in performance tuning tools such as AWR and OEM.
• Ability to support a 24x7 on-call rotation for critical systems.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Oakland, CA.
