Sr. Oracle Database Administrator (Oracle): Delivering world-class Oracle database services and technical leadership for database lifecycle management, monitoring, and disaster recovery with an accent on enterprise-scale stability, security, and compliance. Focus on implementing complex patching strategies, optimizing database hardware configurations, and providing high-level support for RAC and multitenant environments.

Location: Onsite five days a week in East Peoria (IL), Irving (TX), or Nashville (TN). Visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for database lifecycle management, monitoring, disaster recovery, compliance, and standards.
• Research and implement new Oracle database versions, features, and tools from an enterprise perspective.
• Deliver 3rd and 4th level support for complex Oracle database issues.
• Manage database security patching audits, compliance reviews, and testing.
• Develop database technology documentation and coach application support teams on new features and improvements.
• Participate in customer-driven and departmental projects across the enterprise.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• 8+ years of experience as a DBA with a focus on Oracle databases.
• Expertise in Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and Database Lifecycle Management (DBLM).
• Proficiency in manual database patching and upgrades for Data Guard, Multitenant, and RAC.
• Strong skills in SQL and scripting (Shell, Perl, emcli).
• Experience with Linux/UNIX operating systems, specifically RedHat and AIX.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI to improve work efficiency as a DBA.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services.
• Familiarity with ITSM and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes.
• Experience with ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of database security threat management and best practices.
