What you will do

• Resolve moderate to high complexity and high-exposure claims, managing the process from coverage enquiry to final resolution.
• Analyze policy coverage, prepare position letters, and coordinate investigations into loss facts and damages.
• Manage outside counsel and experts, directing litigation strategy and monitoring expenses.
• Set reserves and negotiate settlements for claims typically involved in litigation.
• Provide technical referral, guidance, and training for new hires and other claims department members.
• Collaborate with underwriters to draft policy wording and present loss analysis at roundtables.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of claims handling experience, including at least 3 years as a Claims Examiner.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; JD or advanced degree preferred.
• Must have or be eligible to receive a claims adjuster license.
• Valid US Work Authorization is required (no sponsorship provided).
• Strong knowledge of tort and contract law, plus expertise in litigation management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).

Nice to have

• Industry designations such as INS, IEA, AIC, ARM, SCLA, or CPCU.
• Participation in advanced training (e.g., CLM Claim College, Munich Re).
