What you will do
- Analyze federal procurement data, contract awards, and agency spending patterns using AI tools and government platforms like SAM.gov and USAspending.gov.
- Develop and refine prompts, workflows, and AI-driven processes to accelerate procurement research.
- Build and maintain dashboards, trackers, and visualizations to surface key procurement trends for internal stakeholders.
- Track competitor wins, teaming arrangements, and monitor agency strategic plans to identify emerging opportunities.
- Maintain audit-ready procurement databases with consistent tagging, version control, and clear documentation.
- Partner with business development and proposal teams to scope research requests and deliver findings.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of an associates, bachelor's, or master's program, or a career changer.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets), including formulas and pivot tables.
- Comfort experimenting with AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) and willingness to learn prompt engineering.
- Ability to work a full-time, hybrid schedule from the Baltimore area for the 10-week program duration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to comply with security requirements for handling sensitive and proprietary data.
