What you will do
- Review and approve high-risk work procedures to ensure compliance with safety standards and legal requirements.
- Verify that lockout/tagout (LOTO) and other safety controls are correctly defined and usable.
- Identify hazards and confirm that mitigations are complete and residual risks are acceptable.
- Evaluate prescribed tools and lifting methods, including weight limits and margins.
- Classify procedure risk levels and provide safety sign-offs.
- Collaborate with EHS partners and share best practices across the Development & Engineering community.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in safety engineering or a closely related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in product development or engineering environments.
- Working knowledge of machine and human safety standards such as ISO 12100, CE marking, and OSHA.
- Familiarity with risk methods including FMEA, HAZOP, and JSA.
- Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology as defined by US Export Administration Regulations.
