What you will do

• Lead an internationally recognized research line in Digital Design and Construction.
• Develop computational workflows including parametric design, structural optimization, and data-driven tools.
• Integrate digital design methods with robotic fabrication and construction automation technologies.
• Teach and innovate courses for BSc and MSc students in structural and building engineering.
• Secure external research funding and foster collaborations with academic and industry partners.
• Supervise MSc theses and contribute to the faculty's broader educational mission.

Requirements

• PhD in structural engineering, digital construction, building technology, or a closely related field.
• MSc or MEng in structural engineering or building engineering.
• Experience in conducting postdoctoral research or working on professional construction projects.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Willingness to learn Dutch to facilitate undergraduate teaching and local partnerships.
• A clearly defined vision for driving digital fabrication and automation in the construction sector.
