Lead Buyer - Packaging, Technics, and Services (Food Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Maintain overall spend and category ownership for Packaging and Indirect areas to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
• Develop and implement end-to-end strategic sourcing processes, including RFx execution, supplier selection, and contract negotiation.
• Negotiate volume, price, and payment terms to optimize quality, service, and costs.
• Deliver year-over-year cost reductions through total cost of ownership (TCO) and value engineering initiatives.
• Lead, develop, and inspire a team of Buyers, fostering a culture of strategic thinking and accountability.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to regional senior leadership on market trends and supply chain risks.

Requirements

• 10-15 years of progressive experience in Procurement or Supply Chain, ideally within the food manufacturing industry.
• Deep expertise in Packaging procurement and Indirect spend management.
• Proven ability in negotiation, cost savings delivery, and sourcing strategy execution.
• Experience with SAP, Ariba, or other ERP systems and procurement tools.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Engineering.
• Must be based in or able to work from Cartersville, US
