TL;DR

Senior Buyer (Logistics & Supply Chain): Managing procurement for the Space and Defense group with an accent on strategic supplier development and contract negotiation. Focus on optimizing supply chain efficiency, reducing risks, and ensuring material availability for Assembly & Test functions.

Location: Hybrid – Niagara Falls, NY. Must be eligible to access U.S. export-controlled information.

Salary: $65,000 – $90,000 Annually

What you will do

  • Create and execute sourcing strategies for assigned commodity categories.
  • Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve cost savings and risk reduction.
  • Manage supplier performance, on-time delivery, and quality metrics.
  • Collaborate with shop planning, production, and engineering to support component gating and kit releases.
  • Perform data-driven and trend analyses to identify opportunities and forecast needs.
  • Mentor junior buyers and lead continuous improvement activities for the procurement function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, or a related field with 2+ years of planning experience (or an Associate’s degree with 6+ years).
  • Must pass a full physical examination, including bloodwork and Pulmonary Function testing.
  • Strong communication, organizational skills, and a high sense of urgency.
  • Ability to access U.S. export-controlled information.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree or professional certifications.
  • Experience with PowerBI.
  • Experience in supporting lean manufacturing.
