What you will do

• Drive the architecture and delivery of a custom SDN controller for highly dynamic LEO topologies.
• Oversee the development of beam planning algorithms to optimize phased-array antenna resources and power constraints.
• Design and deliver software for laser inter-satellite links and gateway handoffs to ensure seamless connectivity.
• Own the ground segment software stack, including integration with Points of Presence and core fiber networks.
• Build observability, telemetry, and automated remediation tools to achieve five-nines reliability.
• Hire, develop, and lead a high-performing engineering organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in software development.
• 5+ years of experience managing managers or leading large engineering organizations.
• Deep knowledge of L2/L3 protocols (BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS) and SDN principles.
• Direct experience with LEO constellation dynamics, orbital mechanics, and ISL management.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or granted asylum.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience managing 24/7 Network Operations Centers (NOC) for Tier-1 ISPs or cloud providers.
• Familiarity with free-space optical communications and laser terminal topology optimization.
• Experience with high-fidelity network simulators for capacity planning and orbital modeling.
