What you will do

• Manage the on-site delivery and implementation of the UDX Construction Safety Program.
• Act as the primary interface between HSE, Project Teams, and Principal Contractors to ensure safe execution of activities.
• Provide safety input during design and planning phases to identify buildability risks and eliminate hazards.
• Oversee high-risk operations including lifting, working at height, and confined space entry via permit-to-work systems.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and lead incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Validate Health & Safety Files for project handover in compliance with CDM requirements.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• Strong knowledge of UK construction safety legislation, including CDM, HASAWA, MHSWR, and the Building Safety Act 2022.
• Familiarity with CDM stakeholder responsibilities for Principal Contractors and Principal Designers.
• Experience in contractor management and implementing safe systems of work for high-risk activities.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Bedford, UK.
