Pre Construction Manager (Construction)

What you will do

• Lead the pre-construction phase to ensure projects are set up for success from day one.
• Coordinate design team meetings, drive progress, and facilitate decision-making.
• Perform design coordination and value engineering, including critiquing architectural and engineering drawings.
• Develop early-stage project planning, scope definitions, risk mitigation strategies, and programmes.
• Engage with the supply chain and support QS teams with cost planning and budget development.
• Manage regulatory compliance, including Gateway 2 submissions and Golden Thread digital record-keeping.

Requirements

• Proven experience in planned works, refurbishment, retrofit, and high-rise residential schemes.
• In-depth knowledge of fire safety regulations, including Building Safety Act 2022, Approved Document B, PAS 9980, and BS 8414.
• Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a similar field.
• Membership of CIOB, RICS, or a similar professional body.
• Proficiency in MS Project, BIM platforms (Revit, Navisworks), and document control systems like Aconex.
• Based in or able to commute to Walsall, Warrington, or Trafford offices.
