What you will do

• Lead and direct employees in the operation of station systems, including steam generation, turbines, and air pollution control.
• Continuously monitor plant systems and respond to alarms by taking immediate corrective actions.
• Execute plant shut-down and start-up procedures to meet generating requirements safely.
• Perform periodic surveillance tests and maintain accurate operating logs to identify equipment malfunctions.
• Optimize plant performance by adjusting temperatures, pressures, flow, and levels on primary system components.
• Train other operators on the operating principles of the power facility's systems and steam cycles.

Requirements

• Valid Massachusetts Second Class Engineer’s License or higher.
• Legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship assistance.
• Associate's degree or equivalent technical training in power plant operations.
• Ability to read and interpret Blueprints, P&IDs, and vendor technical manuals.
• Physical capability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and under extreme temperature/noise conditions.
• Must be clean-shaven to comply with OSHA regulation 29 CFR 1910.134 for respirator use.
