Principal Program Manager (Defense): Leading the profitable execution of the GLSDB portfolio within the Advanced Weapons division with an accent on high-volume missile production and integration. Focus on managing program life cycles from proposal through closeout, overseeing matrixed teams, and ensuring on-time, on-cost delivery of contractual requirements.

Compensation Range: $165,700 - $223,800

What you will do
- Lead the execution and profitable delivery of the Ground Launched Small Diameter Bomb (GLSDB) portfolio.
- Direct matrixed cross-functional Integrated Program Teams (IPT) to meet cost, schedule, and technical objectives.
- Develop and manage Annual Operating Plans (AOP), Estimate at Completion (EAC) budgets, and P&L.
- Monitor performance using Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), Earned Value Management (EV), and MRP.
- Execute thorough risk and opportunity management practices to ensure program stability.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain and external suppliers to manage performance and contractual requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a STEM field.
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
- Current US Government security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Advanced knowledge of program management standards including Budgeting, Forecasting, and EVMS.
- Experience supporting or managing missile production programs.
- Willingness to travel outside of Michigan 25% - 50% of the time.
Nice to have
- 15+ years of Defense Industry experience (or Master's/PhD with 13+/10+ years).
- 7+ years of dedicated Program Management experience.
- Experience managing large-scale programs valued between $50M and $100M+.
- PMP certification.
- Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR).
