TL;DR

Location: Remote (home-based), must be based in Dallas, San Antonio, Houston or close cities. Covered territory includes Texas and Louisiana.

What you will do

  • Develop long-term, value-based relationships with accounts to expand business and improve margins.
  • Prospect for new business by conducting sales calls to actively grow the territory.
  • Provide technical support and consultative services to increase value for customers.
  • Manage the sales pipeline, set pricing and service levels, and coordinate customer quotations.
  • Collaborate with Local Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure proper inventory levels.
  • Maintain a strict commitment to personal and colleague safety.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of outside sales experience in B2B environments.
  • Experience in manufacturing or chemical distribution is required.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory (Texas and Louisiana).
  • Strong business savvy and understanding of the manufacturer-distributor-end user relationship.
  • Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills.
