What you will do

• Lead AI transformation across multiple business domains and shape the strategic roadmap.
• Build and lead specialist teams to deliver end-to-end AI products from problem framing to production.
• Design and ship advanced AI systems combining LLMs, agents, retrieval, and orchestration layers.
• Define engineering best practices for evaluation, observability, cost control, and model governance.
• Hire, mentor, and grow AI engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and high velocity.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership to translate AI capabilities into concrete business strategy.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering foundations with hands-on experience in Python and scalable production systems.
• Proven track record of designing and shipping production AI systems (LLM applications, agentic workflows, RAG).
• Proficiency with the modern AI stack: foundation model APIs, vector databases, and orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability tooling.
• Strong product sense and stakeholder management skills to align engineering with business goals.
• Must be based in the Madrid office for a hybrid work setup.

Nice to have

• Experience building agentic systems that replace or augment human workflows at scale.
• Familiarity with AI/ML platforms like LangSmith, Langfuse, Weights & Biases, or MLFlow.
• Side projects, open-source contributions, or published work in applied AI.
