Quality Control Manager (Pulp & Paper)

What you will do

• Ensure and verify quality of covering, finishing, compound/mixing work in-house and from vendors meets standards.
• Provide and maintain system documentation including SPI’s, ISO, and Quality Control audits.
• Review internal and outgoing documentation for accuracy, inspect rolls before shipment.
• Test for non-conformance, manage raw material inventory via plant orders and shop floor feedback.
• Perform monthly internal audits, maintain roll cover SPIs, communicate procedures to team.
• Report QC status to Regional Quality Manager and Plant Manager, develop certification programs.

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor degree in technical field preferred or 3-5 years equivalent manufacturing experience, preferably in paper mill.
• Solid knowledge of formal quality systems (ISO, QIT, TQM).
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams).
• Ability to use automated building and equipment controls.
• Physical ability for lifting up to 50+ pounds, hand dexterity, work in machine shop and office.
