What you will do

• Design and implement patterns for legacy displacement to move domains out of the monolith with zero downtime.
• Build new services and transition existing ones from .NET and Go toward a unified Java/Spring stack.
• Partner with product managers to define requirements and balance technical debt with the delivery of new value.
• Maintain high-quality asynchronous communication and technical documentation for a globally distributed team.
• Utilize Grafana and modern tracing to monitor system health and ensure backend performance and reliability.
• Leverage Agentic programming tools like Claude Code to accelerate refactoring and development workflows.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in backend systems with a strong focus on Java and Spring.
• Proven track record of breaking down monoliths and managing complex system migrations.
• Experience working with event-driven systems.
• Strong commitment to code quality through robust unit, integration, and E2E testing suites.
• Ability to communicate effectively across timezones in a distributed environment.
