What you will do

• Design and optimize high-performance C++ code for critical JVM runtime components.
• Lead complex technical projects from design through production, ensuring reliability at scale.
• Collaborate across teams to represent technical interests and contribute to architectural direction.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance.
• Adopt and promote AI-first workflows to enhance productivity and code quality.
• Perform detailed debugging, profiling, and root-cause analysis of complex software issues.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from Prague, Cyprus, or Serbia.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience writing low-level, high-performance C++ code.
• Solid knowledge of VM and compiler runtime design and implementation.
• Strong proficiency in memory management, pointers, concurrency, and multithreading.
• Proven ability to independently lead and deliver complex technical projects.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with JVM internals.
• Understanding of hardware architectures like x86 or ARM.
• Experience with operating system internals (Linux, macOS).
• Knowledge of Java or Rust.
