What you will do

• Collaborate with cross-functional squads including product managers, designers, and engineers to build and support backend services.
• Work on various banking platform areas such as core banking, payments, security, and financial crime.
• Develop resilient software and distributed systems using strongly-typed languages like Go, Java, or Scala.
• Contribute to infrastructure, asynchronous messaging, RPC, and data storage solutions.
• Participate in onboarding and continuous learning to master the technology stack.

Requirements

• Location: Based in or able to work hybrid in Barcelona, Spain
• Strong experience in backend development with a product mindset.
• Interest in distributed systems and resilient software design.
• Experience with strongly-typed languages such as Go, Java, C, or Scala.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and collaborative teams.
• English proficiency: B2 or higher

Nice to have

• Experience with React.js for internal tools and web apps.
• Knowledge of asynchronous message queues and RPC frameworks.
• Familiarity with fintech domain and banking infrastructure.
