Senior Software Engineer

Location: Barcelona, Spain; hybrid model with three days per week in the office

hirify.global is a digital banking product company building an in-house banking platform and financial products for personal and business customers.

What you will do

• Build and support backend services for a specific part of hirify.global’s banking platform.
• Collaborate with product managers, marketers, researchers, designers, mobile and web engineers, analysts, and writers.
• Develop resilient software and distributed systems for banking, payments, infrastructure, security, finance, and related domains.
• Work within a self-governing collective and contribute to customer-focused, data-informed product decisions.
• Use technologies including Go, Cassandra, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, Envoy Proxy, AWS, and GCP.

Requirements

• Strong experience working on the backend of a technology product.
• Product mindset with an interest in customer outcomes and data-informed decisions.
• Comfort working in a team dealing with ambiguity.
• Interest in distributed systems and resilient software.
• Experience with a strongly typed language such as Go, Java, C, or Scala.
• No formal qualification or degree is required.
