What you will do

• Develop and implement Process Safety Management strategies, policies, and procedures to improve performance across business units.
• Lead, scribe, chair, and critique Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) activities.
• Chair ALARP demonstration and Safety Case development activities, producing high-quality technical documentation.
• Monitor asset project pipelines to identify and mitigate safety risks early in the lifecycle.
• Deliver Process Safety Quarterly KPI update packs to senior leadership.
• Manage contracts for Process Safety consultancy support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Process Safety, Engineering, or a related technical subject.
• Must be a Member or Associate Member of a Process Safety-relevant Professional Engineering Institution.
• Proven track record in risk assessment utilizing HAZID, HAZOP, and LOPA methodologies.
• Willingness to undertake regular travel within the UK.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills to convey complex issues concisely.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Process Safety or Engineering.
• NEBOSH Process Safety or equivalent HSE professional qualification.
• Experience with WhatIf, BowTie, and Consequence Modelling.
• Knowledge of DSEAR Regulations and the Energy Institute’s PSM framework.
