What you will do

• Lead, hire, and develop a high-performing team of Forward Deployed Software Engineers, ensuring engineering excellence and delivery quality.
• Define the hirify.global approach to AI-native engineering transformation, including Claude Code adoption and agentic SDLC tooling.
• Manage hands-on technical delivery and architecture for enterprise engagements, moving between C-suite strategy and codebase pairing.
• Develop scalable playbooks and repeatable patterns to transform one-off engagements into a scalable practice.
• Build vertical fluency in Financial Services, Energy, and Healthcare to address specific engineering and compliance constraints.
• Partner with Sales to shape the pipeline and collaborate with Anthropic field teams on joint engagements.

Requirements

• 10+ years in software engineering with 4+ years in senior leadership roles such as CTO, VP Engineering, or Head of Engineering.
• Must be based in New York.
• Proven track record of building engineering teams from early stage, including hiring and retention of exceptional talent.
• Deep passion and practical experience with AI-native development tools and the transformation of the SDLC.
• Experience driving engineering transformation and navigating the realities of legacy systems and compliance in large enterprises.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate technical strategy to CTOs and VPs of Engineering.

Nice to have

• Former CTO or VP Engineering experience at a scaling technology company.
• Experience with Claude Code enterprise deployment, MCP server development, or AI agent integration.
• Background in forward-deployed engineering models (e.g., Palantir, Anthropic, DeepMind).
• Established external presence through writing, speaking, or community contributions in engineering leadership.
