Project Engineer (Data Centre)

What you will do

• Review and coordinate MEP and CSA drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals to ensure alignment with client standards.
• Monitor the installation progress of mechanical and electrical equipment, including chillers, UPS, and power distribution systems.
• Manage quality assurance by reviewing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and performing quality checks to resolve defects.
• Support the commissioning process by tracking FPTs, ISTs, and SATs and coordinating the final handover packages.
• Coordinate with trade partners, specialist vendors, and client operations teams for integration and turnover.
• Generate engineering logs, risk registers, and progress updates to ensure schedule and technical compliance.

Requirements

• Experience in data centres, mission-critical facilities, high-tech industrial, pharma, or large MEP projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical or electrical building services.
• Ability to interpret complex technical drawings, P&IDs, and SLDs.
• Knowledge of commissioning processes for high-availability facilities.

Nice to have

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
• Experience with project delivery for hyperscale data centre clients.
• Familiarity with Uptime Institute Tier III/IV standards.
• Knowledge of tools such as BIM 360, Navisworks, MS Project, or Procore.
