Senior Maintenance & Reliability Project Engineer (GMP Manufacturing)

Location: Geel, Antwerp, Belgium; onsite role at the Johnson & Johnson manufacturing site.

Base pay: €72,500–€115,230 per year.

What you will do

• Represent Maintenance & Reliability in multidisciplinary engineering and capital project teams.
• Review designs and technical specifications for maintainability, accessibility, reliability, spare parts, and total cost of ownership.
• Support projects from concept through commissioning, startup, and operational handover.
• Prepare maintenance plans, asset hierarchies, criticality assessments, spare-parts strategies, and CMMS readiness.
• Define preventive and predictive maintenance strategies and identify reliability improvements for new and modified assets.
• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, and external contractors to mitigate risks and ensure sustainable asset performance.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical qualifications and experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in maintenance, project engineering, asset management, reliability engineering, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of maintenance processes, asset lifecycle management, equipment design, and reliability principles.
• Experience with design reviews, commissioning, startup, operational handover, and GMP-regulated manufacturing is advantageous.
• Knowledge of RCA, FMEA, RCM, and criticality assessments; experience with CMMS platforms, preferably SAP PM, and Excel.
• Fluent Dutch and English are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience with Power BI or data analytics tools.
