TL;DR

Account Executive (Retail): Managing commercial and strategic relationships with key retail partners in the Petrol & Convenience sector with an accent on revenue growth, market share expansion, and joint value generation. Focus on owning customer P&L, negotiating trading terms, and executing Joint Business Planning (JBP) across in-store and online channels.

Location: Hybrid; must be based in Melbourne, Sydney, VIC, QLD or SA (Australia)

What you will do

  • Serve as the primary commercial contact for accounts, developing multi-level collaborator relationships.
  • Manage 3rd party field teams focusing on commercial, compliance, and executional management.
  • Guide Joint Business Planning (JBP) aligned to retailer and brand strategies.
  • Negotiate trading terms, cost price changes, investment frameworks, and annual agreements.
  • Own the customer P&L, including cost to acquire, trade investment, and sales/margin mix.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Demand Planning to ensure high on-shelf availability (OTIF).

Requirements

  • Prior industry experience in a similar role, preferably within fuel or convenience retail environments.
  • Strong commercial competence and experience managing complex P&L responsibilities.
  • Proven background in Joint Business Planning and outstanding negotiation skills.
  • Ability to deliver accurate forecasts and collaborate effectively with supply chain teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data insights for category growth.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail regarding compliance and operational excellence.
