What you will do
- Own the design and iteration of player progression and reward systems, including leveling and engagement loops.
- Create high-level vision documentation and detailed design documents to guide implementation.
- Develop progression system models using Excel, Google Sheets, or Python for balancing complex systems.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to scale player-centric systems that meet game goals.
- Analyze data and player insights to continuously improve system performance and outcomes.
- Advocate for player-first experiences while communicating design trade-offs clearly.
Requirements
- 10+ years of systems design experience in live service games.
- Proven track record in designing progression and reward systems.
- Deep understanding of player motivation models and meta-progression frameworks.
- Expertise in using analytics and player feedback for iteration.
- Ability to produce high-quality design documentation and prototypes.
- Passion for competitive multiplayer games, specifically Apex Legends.
Nice to have
- Experience with economy balancing and player retention mechanics.
- Proficiency with scripting or data tools for rapid prototyping.
