What you will do

• Design, implement, and improve combat mechanics and systems to increase confidence in the game concept.
• Develop innovative combat solutions and articulate trade-offs and risks between different design options.
• Establish high-level principles and best practices for future combat design work.
• Utilize rapid prototyping and playtesting to validate design solutions.
• Create clear design documentation that can be evaluated and implemented by non-designers.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to iterate towards the highest quality holistic experience.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience in Game Design.
• Expertise in Combat Mechanics, Combat Feel, Combat AI, or Character/Camera/Controls.
• 3+ years of experience with Unreal Engine, including Blueprints or equivalent systems.
• Demonstrated ability to design complex systems with strong awareness of player impact.
• Deep understanding of gameplay systems and player interaction design.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese.

Nice to have

• Experience leading or owning combat design areas.
• Experience working on live products or ongoing game updates.
• Experience in early-stage development and prototyping environments.
• Scripting experience within a game engine on a shipped title.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
